One of Richard Yanke’s many business ventures was started when the Edward's chain of theaters wanted new ways to display the movie ads and art sent to them by the studios in their multiplex units. There where so many films and so little space to display in their lobbies, new space had to be created.
The answer to that need, the was created so large format billboard size film posters could be displayed in the theaters and around the Malls where those theater complexes lived.
There was a need to change over these gigantic displays weekly as films came and went, so SKYBANR ADS, where designed and the systems engineered for that quick-change making it a fast economical operation.
Since all these huge displays where to be hung over the heads of millions they needed to be safe and easy to use. The banner hanging machinery had to be ultra light and above all not come down when there was a natural disaster or if a gear or cable failed in normal display mode. This prompted the final design of what today is the you see all over the Malls today.
